On August 1, information from the Road Traffic Police Team (Dien Khanh - Khanh Vinh area) under the Traffic Police Department, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, said that the unit had just completed the record of fines for driver H.D.S (48 years old, residing in Tay Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa) for overtaking in cases where it was not allowed to overtak.
This is the driver who drove a car recklessly, encroaching on the lane on Khanh Le Pass, almost causing an accident with a car going in the wrong direction, causing outrage among traffic participants on July 21.
Previously, through the reflection of the people, at Km41+300 of Khanh Le Pass, National Highway 27C, Nam Khanh Vinh Commune, Khanh Hoa, a red car with license plate 79A-474.xx was speeding and recklessly overtaking at the curve.
Notably, the driver tried to cross the road with a bright yellow line and encroached on the road of the vehicle going in the opposite direction.
Fortunately, the passenger car traveling in the opposite direction was slow, so it brake quickly in time, avoiding dangerous situations that could lead to serious traffic accidents.
All dangerous behavior of car drivers was recorded by the rear car's camera and reported to the Traffic Police Department.
Through inspection, the Road Traffic Police Team (Khanh Vinh area) verified and invited the driver of car 79A-474.xx, Mr. H.D.S, to work.
At the meeting, Mr. S admitted his violation. The competent authority has drawn up a record of administrative violations against this driver for the act of "Overtaking in cases where it is not allowed to overtak", stipulated in Point a, Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, with a fine of VND4 to VND6 million and a deduction of 2 driving license points.
