On April 20, Colonel Tran Van Muoi - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, and the working delegation visited and encouraged Captain Nguyen Tri Long, officer of the Fire and Rescue Police Department, who is being treated at Lam Dong General Hospital due to injury while on duty.

Previously, at about 9 am on April 19, a fire broke out from a wooden house on To Ngoc Van street (Cam Ly ward - Da Lat), then spread, threatening many neighboring houses.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police force mobilized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy firefighting, prevent fire from spreading and rescue. By about 10:20 am on the same day, the fire was controlled, without causing any casualties.
In the process of approaching the fire area, Captain Long unfortunately had a component collapse on the 2nd floor, fell to the ground, and suffered severe injuries to his hip and back.

Despite being injured, he still requested to continue participating in the mission. After that, his teammates took him outside for first aid and transferred him to the hospital for treatment.
At the visit, the leaders of the Provincial Police encouraged and acknowledged the spirit of responsibility and courage of the forces participating in fire fighting, rescue and relief; and at the same time wished Captain Long to actively treat and soon recover his health to return to work.
Lam Dong Provincial Police said they will fully and promptly implement regimes and policies for injured officers and soldiers according to regulations.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: After many efforts, the fire on To Ngoc Van street was controlled and extinguished. However, the house and many assets inside were completely burned down.
The fire also spread to two adjacent houses, causing impact. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties.
