On November 6, the leader of the Ea Sup District Police, Dak Lak Province confirmed that the unit is still taking statements from the vehicle owner to clarify the cause of the tractor accident that killed two people.
Previously, at around 4:00 p.m. on November 5, Mr. Ho Van Dinh (40 years old), residing in Cu M'Lan commune, hired someone to pull cassava in village 7, Cu M'lan commune.
At the same time, due to heavy rain, Mr. Dinh and 5 others took shelter under a tractor.
While everyone was taking shelter from the rain, they heard the sound of a car starting and moving forward.
Mr. Nguyen Van K (28 years old), residing in Cu M'lan commune) and Ms. Luc Thi H (27 years old), residing in Cu K'bang commune, Ea Sup district were run over by the rear wheel of a car and died on the spot.
“Initially, the authorities determined that someone started the engine at the time of the accident. Currently, the authorities are focusing on taking statements to investigate and clarify the matter,” the leader of the Ea Sup District Police shared further.
On the same morning, the People's Committees of Cu M'lan and Cu K'Bang communes (Ea Sup district) confirmed that local authorities had sent people to visit, offer condolences and support the families in arranging funerals for the victims.
