The dispatch of the Vietnam Railway Authority clearly states: Deploying Official Dispatch No. 89/CD-BXD of the Ministry of Construction on urgent statistics, damage assessment and focus on quickly overcoming the consequences of storms and floods in the Central region, the Vietnam Railway Authority requires the above agencies and units to implement a number of contents as follows:
Vietnam Railway Corporation and Railway Joint Stock companies continue to focus on leading, directing, mobilizing all resources and means to implement drastically and quickly overcome the consequences of floods (especially in Khanh Hoa province), ensuring the safety of works and railway traffic safety.
Continue to strictly implement the patrol regime, lock down works, vulnerable locations, key areas such as: Bridges, tunnels, weak roads, easily flooded, railway works, ensure smooth information, serve train safety; areas that often have flash floods, sections of steep passes, rocks falling, soil collapsing, railway areas downstream of dykes, irrigation dams, reservoirs...
Direct units to adjust train exploitation and operation plans to reduce the number of trains passing through or stopping in areas affected by natural disasters; develop plans for goods storage, transportation of spare materials, passenger transportation, prepare enough food, food, drinking water, medicine, and medical supplies in case the train has to stop due to floods.
Strictly implement the on-duty regime and report to the Steering Committee for Civil Defense of the Ministry of Construction, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the Vietnam Railway Authority when incidents and natural disasters occur on national railway lines according to regulations.
The Departments under the Vietnam Railway Authority proactively monitor and coordinate with units in overcoming the consequences of rain and floods; regularly update developments of rain, floods and damage caused by rain and floods (if any), promptly report to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Control of the Vietnam Railway Authority.
The Railway Safety Management Departments promptly sent staff to participate in overcoming the consequences of the storm and coordinate in maintaining railway security and order in the area under their charge.
