Construction throughout Tet
Ring Road 3 HCMC is 76.3 km long, with a total investment of 75.378 billion VND passing through HCMC (including Binh Duong before), Dong Nai, Tay Ninh.
At the Ring Road 3 construction site in Ho Chi Minh City, the section passing through Long Binh ward (Ho Chi Minh City), the working atmosphere is still bustling day and night. Dozens of workers and dozens of locomotives and equipment are racing against time, sticking to Tet to ensure the goal of traffic opening on schedule.
Mr. Phan Huu Thao - Project Commander of Thien An contractor said that package XL5 has reached about more than 80% of the workload. To meet the requirements from the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Management Board) and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, all personnel are highly focused on the poles for installing girders, pouring bridge deck slabs and completing the railing and drainage system.
To ensure traffic is on schedule, we organize continuous construction in 3 shifts, 4 teams, taking turns working 24/24 hours. Even during the Lunar New Year days, the construction site still does not rest," Mr. Thao said.

Leaving behind personal joys, clinging to the construction site
For the majority of workers from the Central and Western regions, staying at the construction site during Tet is not an easy decision. This is the second consecutive year that Mr. Thao and his colleagues have stayed at the project instead of returning to their hometown to reunite.
Missing home, who doesn't want to go home. But for the common goal of the national project, brothers encourage each other to try together. Fortunately, the Traffic Department and leaders at all levels always visit and give gifts to encourage, helping brothers ease the sadness of being away from home," Mr. Thao expressed.

Package XL5 - one of the key packages of Component Project 1 of Ring Road 3 HCMC is about 2.3 km long, including the elevated bridge and parallel road. This is an important link connecting Ring Road 3 project with Tan Van intersection. When completed, this section will help reduce huge traffic pressure for the inner city area and create convenient intercommunication for people to travel.
In the scorching sun and the hustle and bustle of Ring Road 3 construction site during Tet, Mr. Pham Ngoc Quan is still diligently working. His hometown is Thanh Hoa, for 5-6 months now he has not visited his home. Nearly 15 years of attachment to the bridge and road construction profession is also the time he has become accustomed to "taking the construction site as a home, taking brothers as relatives".

This year, Mr. Quan continues to choose to stay at the construction site throughout Tet. Although homesickness is always present, especially when receiving phone calls asking about his family at the end of the year, he is still determined to complete the task.
Mr. Quan confided: "Everyone wants to quickly arrange work to return to their hometown to celebrate Tet with their families. But the project is entering an urgent phase, in accordance with the spirit of the Prime Minister's'only discuss doing, not discussing retreating'. If the work is not done, we will work overtime, increase shifts.
As a technical officer of Thien An contractor, Mr. Nguyen Le Anh Vu understands the pressure of progress in this final sprint. His hometown is Binh Thuan, not too far from Ho Chi Minh City, but he chose to put aside his Tet plan with his family to stick to the construction site.
We expect everything at the construction site to go smoothly so that it can be handed over and opened to traffic on time for the investor. I personally feel very proud to contribute a small part of my efforts to this project. Just thinking about the scene of people traveling on the new road conveniently and safely, and the traffic pressure of the city being reduced, we brothers see that all the hardships are worth it," Mr. Vu confided.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Ring Road 3 project passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh currently achieves a common output of more than 70%, the entire route is more than 76 km long.
It is expected that the entire Ring Road 3 of HCMC will be opened to traffic on June 30, 2026.
