On the morning of August 19, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to organize the inauguration ceremony and put into operation component project 1A of the Tan Van - Nhon Trach construction investment project, phase 1 of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3. Including Nhon Trach Bridge - the largest bridge on Ring Road 3, connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai. The project was officially put into operation at 7:00 a.m. on August 20.
This section is 8.14 km long, starting at the intersection with DT.25B road (Nhon Trach commune, Dong Nai province), ending at the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (in Long Truong ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

This is one of the projects under the inauguration ceremony, starting 250 projects and works with a total investment of VND 1,280,000 billion to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Mr. Nguyen Van Ni (residing in Ho Chi Minh City) said he was very excited when part of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project was completed. "The project put into operation will shorten the journey from Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City, reduce traffic congestion from the highway and develop the economy. I hope many key projects will be completed soon," said Mr. Ni.
Based on the comments of relevant units on the traffic organization plan, My Thuan Project Management Board has directed the Design Consultant to complete the dossier and the Board has approved the traffic organization plan through the project scope.

Accordingly, phase 1 (from now until component projects 1 and 3 are completed, expected by the end of 2026) will allow the exploitation of the section from DT.25B (Dong Nai) to Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (HLD) as a regular car route, for cars and motorbikes to circulate.
Dong Nai will organize 2 car lanes and 2 mixed lanes from DT.25B to Nhon Trach bridge; motorbikes are only allowed to travel from DT.25B to Ly Tu Trong street. The three uniform intersections will be regulated by signs and traffic lights. On the Ho Chi Minh City side, cars from Nhon Trach Bridge connect to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway intersection.
On the entire component route 1A, trucks over 1.5 tons and passenger cars over 16 seats are prohibited because the HLD expressway toll station intersection has not been completely completed.

In phase 2 (expected from the end of 2026), the entire route will be exploited according to the scale of the expressway: 4 lanes for motor vehicles in the core part, parallel roads for mixed vehicles. Nhon Trach Bridge will organize mixed traffic, including 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 mixed lanes, with a separation strip.
Nhon Trach Bridge is the largest bridge in the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai. The bridge is nearly 2.6 km long, about 20.5 m wide, including 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 mixed lanes, designed with a speed of 80 km/h, with a clearance of 30.5 m.
When put into operation, the bridge will reduce pressure on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, connecting flexibly and promoting more efficient inter-regional traffic.
