According to information from Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Co., Ltd., at 8:16 am on September 4, hot air furnace No. 3 belonging to blast furnace No. 1 - the company's blast furnace workshop caused an unusual incident in equipment accompanied by sparks, flame-resistant materials at high temperatures being fired out, causing the nearby grass area to catch fire. Immediately after that, the company's blast furnace workshop urgently stopped the blast furnace.
After the incident occurred, the company's fire prevention and fighting team coordinated with functional forces to deploy vehicles to control the fire. By 8:30 am, the fire was completely extinguished, with no casualties.
Also according to information from Formosa Ha Tinh Company, the incident at hot air furnace No. 3 will be completed and fixed in about 48 hours and will not affect the company's production and business activities.
The cause of the incident is being verified and clarified by the Company.
