Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security, on March 13, traffic police forces nationwide simultaneously deployed to inspect and handle 4 key topics at the same time, focusing on groups of violations with high potential risks of causing traffic disorder and safety (TTATGT).
Regarding the topic of handling students and parents who violate traffic safety and order, functional forces arranged 612 working groups with more than 2,019 officers and soldiers to participate in inspection.
Through this, 814 violations were detected, including 686 students and 128 parents. The total estimated fine amount is 1.312 billion VND, temporarily seizing 204 vehicles. Traffic police also notified 279 educational institutions and 26 commune-level police to coordinate in managing and educating violating students.
For the topic of passenger car control, traffic police arranged 945 working groups with 3,374 officers and soldiers to control at 857 locations on traffic routes.
Through inspection of nearly 6,353 passenger cars, functional forces discovered 438 violations, mainly for wrong stopping and parking violations; carrying goods in the passenger compartment; speeding; violating the lane and lane.
The total estimated fine amount is 496 million VND, deducting points from driver's licenses in 43 cases, temporarily detaining 1 vehicle. During the inspection, no traffic accidents related to passenger cars occurred.
For the specialized topic of controlling freight transport vehicles, functional forces arranged 1,047 working groups at 867 locations on complex routes and areas.
Through controlling 8,954 vehicles, 744 violations were detected, mainly carrying overloaded and oversized goods; stopping and parking in violation of regulations; speeding, lane violations; entering prohibited roads.
The total estimated fine amount is 2.218 billion VND, temporarily detaining 3 vehicles. During the control period, there were 2 traffic accidents related to cargo trucks, killing 2 people and injuring 1 person in Da Nang and Gia Lai.

For the topic of handling alcohol concentration violations, traffic police arranged 809 working groups with nearly 2,771 officers and soldiers, controlling 36,438 vehicles.
Through this, 1,714 cases of alcohol concentration violations were detected, along with many related errors such as no driver's license, no vehicle registration, no rearview mirrors. The total estimated fine amount is 9.469 billion VND, temporarily seizing 1,714 vehicles, and revoking 223 driver's licenses.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people strictly comply with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, do not hand over vehicles to people who do not meet the conditions to drive, do not use alcohol and beer while driving, wear standard helmets and comply with regulations on speed and lane.
In the coming time, local traffic police forces will continue to maintain specialized inspection topics, strictly handle violations, contributing to curbing and reducing traffic accidents.
