According to the Traffic Police Department (Hai Phong City Police), during the 4-day holiday (from April 30 to May 3), the traffic police force throughout the city organized 379 patrol and control teams for 32,874 vehicles; detected and handled 2,272 violations with some main violations being 358 cases of alcohol concentration violations, 447 cases of speeding violations, 468 cases of not wearing helmets. The total amount of violation fines is over 6.1 billion VND. Compared to the same period, the number of violations increased by 658 cases, and the amount of fines increased by 2.1 billion VND.
During the holidays, 12 traffic accidents occurred in the city, killing 5 people and injuring 12 people, a decrease of 3 cases, a decrease of 1 death and 1 injury compared to the same period in 2025.
