Implementing the direction of the Director of the Traffic Police Department on general inspection and handling of the topic "Drivers of vehicles violating alcohol concentration", from October 18 to 20, the Lao Cai Traffic Police Department mobilized maximum forces, simultaneously launching operations on all key routes and areas in the whole province.
During the 3 peak days, 127 working groups with 689 traffic police officers and soldiers and 234 commune-level police officers were mobilized to coordinate in inspecting 11,827 vehicles.
Thereby, the authorities discovered 492 cases of alcohol concentration violations, temporarily detained 492 vehicles, revoked 62 driving licenses, deducted 289 points from driving licenses, the total amount of fines reached VND 3.281 billion.
The leader of the Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police affirmed that he will continue to maintain thematic checkpoints, increase patrols, strictly handle violations, and be determined to ensure traffic order and safety.
