On September 24, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh - Head of the Government Steering Committee on science, technology, innovation, digital transformation development and Project 06, chaired the fourth meeting of the Steering Committee.
The meeting was connected online from the Government headquarters to 34 provinces and centrally-run cities.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that we are currently implementing many tasks to accelerate and make breakthroughs, in which promoting the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 is very important.
These contents contribute to promoting rapid and sustainable growth, stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, ensuring major balances, controlling public debt, budget deficits, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, and achieving the two 100-year goals.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the context of many difficulties and challenges, the situation in the world and the region has "reverse winds".
That context requires us to constantly innovate, take drastic actions, and renew traditional growth drivers including investment, export, and consumption. Promote new growth drivers such as digital economy, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy, development based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

The Prime Minister stated that the "pillar" resolutions issued by the Politburo are all related to science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, with the spirit of "The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly has agreed, the people support, the Fatherland has high expectations, then only discuss and do, not backtrack".
Therefore, we must take advantage of every day and every hour to bring science and technology, innovation and digital transformation into all activities.
The head of the Government emphasized that, implementing the Party's policies and the direction of General Secretary To Lam, we have done many things, achieved positive results in developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, but there is still much work to be done, while requiring and demanding higher with the spirit of "catching up, moving forward together and overcoming".
The Prime Minister suggested that the delegates discuss and review the leadership, direction and management work in recent times; evaluate the results achieved, limitations, inadequacies and obstacles; analyze valuable lessons learned, good models, good practices; agree on key tasks and solutions in the coming time.
The Prime Minister suggested that some tasks need to be focused on discussing at the meeting and completed in the coming time.
First, building a database of sectors and levels, considering this an urgent issue with a specific completion progress milestone, especially land and housing data.
Second, perfect digital transformation in the operation of local government at both levels, especially at the grassroots level, immediately overcome difficulties and bottlenecks, ensure smoothness, synchronization, connection from the grassroots to the Central level and from one grassroots to another.
Third, promote the Digital cradle of Binh Phuc movement to build digital government, digital citizens, digital society, and develop the digital economy.
