On May 8, Tuyen Hoa Commune People's Committee, Quang Tri province coordinated with the Commune Police and forest rangers to hand over a small cu li individual to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms under Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park for care and rescue before releasing it back into nature.
A small culi individual got lost in the garden of Mr. Tran Van Duan's house, residing in Dong Tan village, Tuyen Hoa commune. Realizing that this is a rare and precious wild animal that needs to be protected, Mr. Duan reported it to the local authorities.
After receiving information, Tuyen Hoa Commune People's Committee coordinated with functional forces to receive small cu li individuals from people and hand them over to specialized units for care according to regulations.
According to functional agencies, small cu lilies belong to group IB in the list of endangered, precious and rare forest plants and animals prioritized for protection.
