On May 3, Ngo May Commune Police (Gia Lai) received 1 small Cu li individual belonging to Group IB - endangered, precious, and rare forest animal prioritized for protection. This individual weighed about 0.5kg, in a healthy state, without injuries.
Previously, on the night of May 2nd, Mr. Dao Thanh Tuan (born 1993, residing in Hung Tri village, Ngo May commune) discovered a stray Cu li individual, climbing and clinging to electric wires in front of the house.

Suspecting that this was a rare and precious wild animal, Mr. Tuan proactively reported to functional agencies and brought the Cu li individual to hand over to Ngo May Commune Police.
After receiving it, Ngo May Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Economic Department and local forest rangers to complete procedures to release the Cu li individual back to the natural environment, ensuring safety and in accordance with regulations.
Mr. Tuan's act of voluntarily handing over wild animals is commendable, contributing to spreading awareness of nature protection and biodiversity conservation.
