In the afternoon of April 27, the western gateway area recorded a high increase in the number of vehicles as people from the Mekong Delta provinces returned to the city. Although the traffic density was high, traffic on the main axes still moved stably, without prolonged congestion.

Recorded on National Highway 1, the flow of cars and motorbikes stretched in the direction of the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Vehicles moved smoothly, without congestion.
At the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, towards the Binh Thuan intersection, the traffic volume increased sharply from the beginning of the afternoon. At many times, the traffic flow was dense, causing minor congestion.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (from Dong Thap province) said: "Vehicles traveling from the Mekong Delta are quite crowded but not congested. However, hot weather makes travel quite difficult, especially when having to drive motorbikes long distances.
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Mai (from Can Tho) said that compared to previous holidays, the traffic situation is not too tense.
Although the bus is crowded, there is no traffic jam, some places only need to drive a little slower to get through. I also proactively go home early to avoid rush hour," Ms. Mai said.

According to records, the hot weather on April 27 also significantly affected traffic participants, especially motorcyclists. Many people had to stop by the roadside to rest to avoid the sun or rehydrate before continuing their journey.
Functional forces are on duty at hotspots, diverting traffic, contributing to maintaining traffic order in the gateway area during the peak day at the end of the holidays.
