On the morning of February 14th (ie December 27th of the lunar calendar) in the Mien Tay Bus Station area (An Lac ward), the number of passengers increased sharply.
At the waiting hall, people carried a lot of luggage, lined up to check in and waited to get on the bus. Routes to Can Tho, Ca Mau, Dong Thap... continuously departed.

Outside the station, on Kinh Duong Vuong street and An Lac roundabout, the flow of vehicles pouring into the western gateway increased continuously. However, vehicles still moved stably, at major intersections there were functional forces on duty, regulating traffic.
On National Highway 1 and the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressway, cars and motorbikes lined up towards the Mekong Delta. At some times, vehicles moved slowly due to high density, but no prolonged traffic jams occurred.

Many people said that this year, traveling is more convenient than initially worried. "Cars are crowded but still run steadily, not stopping," shared Mr. Le Minh Thuan (from Dong Thap).
Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung (from Can Tho) said that her family has young children, so she proactively goes to the station early. "I am afraid that it will be crowded closer to the schedule, so I take advantage of going in the morning. I see many vehicles but traffic is quite stable, not too tense as in previous years," Ms. Nhung said.
It is forecasted that today, vehicle traffic at the western gateway of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be maintained at a high level. The Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people proactively manage their travel time, comply with traffic diversion instructions to ensure safe and smooth journeys home.
