According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, at about 9 pm on June 14, the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway section at Long Thanh intersection and National Highway 51 intersection (section through Long Thanh ward, Dong Nai city) was seriously congested. A series of cars lined up moving slowly and difficultly, forming a stream of cars stretching for many kilometers through this area.

Previously, in the afternoon of June 14, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, the number of vehicles increased sharply towards Ho Chi Minh City, causing the heaviest congestion at the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
According to functional forces, the main reason is that people from the Central and Central Highlands provinces flock to the center of Ho Chi Minh City after the summer weekend holiday, causing the traffic volume on this highway to increase sharply, leading to overload.
Meanwhile, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is quite clear.
Functional forces proceed to regulate and guide vehicles to avoid prolonged congestion.
