According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Quang Ha commune, at about 3 am on July 3, fishing vessel QN-90568-TS owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1986, residing in Phu Hai neighborhood, Quang Ha commune, Quang Ninh province) encountered an incident and sank at sea.
The location of the ship accident is at coordinates 20°49.347'N; 107°48.59'E, area near Co To special zone, Quang Ninh province.
At the time of the incident, there were 7 crew members on board, including the ship owner and 6 workers.
Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Quang Ha commune coordinated with the Sub-Department of Sea, Islands and Fisheries of Quang Ninh province, the fisheries surveillance force, the Provincial Border Guard and functional agencies to verify information, mobilize forces and vehicles to deploy search and rescue.
Up to now, functional forces have safely rescued 6 people, and 1 person is still missing.
Forces are maintaining search operations in the area where the ship encountered an accident.
Quang Ha Commune People's Committee will continue to update the developments of the case, report to the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies according to regulations.
