In a document responding to voters' opinions reporting the results of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City said that Da Nang is currently implementing a policy of supporting funding for new construction and house repair for people with revolutionary contributions (new construction: 60 million VND/house, repair: maximum 30 million VND/house) and poor households (new construction: 80 million VND/house, repair: maximum 30 million VND/house).
Since 2020, the social housing fund belonging to public assets is very small. The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to receive, check and report apartment rental applications for cases of people with revolutionary contributions recognized by competent authorities in the city.
In 2023, the City People's Committee has agreed on the policy of allocating 44 public apartments for rent to poor households in especially difficult circumstances. To date, the City has completed the approval and rental arrangement in January.
Currently, the social housing fund of public property is very limited. Da Nang prioritizes rental arrangements for people with revolutionary contributions and households that are subject to relocation and clearance of degraded apartment and collective housing areas of public property.
For other subjects, the City considers and resolves the rental and purchase of social housing from non-budgetary sources.
In the coming time, after balancing the public housing fund, the Department of Construction will continue to advise the City People's Committee to consider the plan to allocate and arrange social housing rentals for public properties for poor households in especially difficult circumstances and will have specific notices to localities.
