On March 27, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee held the 3rd Conference of the City Party Committee Executive Committee of the 1st term to assess the performance of tasks in the first quarter; discuss and forecast growth scenarios and determine directions and key tasks for the coming time; and at the same time give opinions on important contents according to the Working Regulations.
Reporting here, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee said that in the first quarter of 2026, the city will focus on synchronously implementing socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, achieving many positive results. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee has issued an Action Program to implement the "double-digit" growth target, and at the same time established a Steering Committee for key programs.
Investment attraction continues to be a bright spot. Accumulated in the first 3 months of the year, total domestic investment capital reached more than 58,496 billion VND, nearly 5 times higher than the same period. FDI capital reached 37.47 million USD. Total number of domestic projects reached 2,045 with more than 804,775 billion VND; 1,002 FDI projects with about 10.7 billion USD.
Service, tourism, and trade activities maintained growth momentum. Total number of overnight visitors is estimated at nearly 4.2 million, an increase of more than 15%. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached VND 38.93 trillion, an increase of over 18%. Industrial production index increased by more than 12%. Agricultural, forestry, and fishery production is stable; seafood output reached about 30,000 tons.
Budget revenue reached more than 15,711 billion VND, an increase of nearly 10%. Disbursement of public investment capital reached 1,301 billion VND, equal to more than 8% of the plan. The city focuses on accelerating the progress of key projects, removing difficulties in procedures, land, and site clearance.
The field of planning and urban areas has been strengthened for management. The city has implemented long-term planning adjustments and issued directives to tighten urban order. At the same time, it has approved the investment policy for 4 social housing projects.
Culture and society continue to be concerned. Health and education sectors are guaranteed operating conditions. Social security policies are implemented promptly. Disease prevention and control work is maintained effectively.
National defense - security maintained stability. The social order and safety situation was basically controlled. Traffic accidents, crime and fires all decreased compared to the same period.
Besides the achieved results, some shortcomings still need to be overcome. The progress of site clearance is still slow. Mountainous infrastructure is not synchronized. Some issues related to urban order, network security, and high-tech crime are still potentially complex.
The city identifies three key tasks: removing investment bottlenecks; creating new growth momentum; tightening discipline, improving public service efficiency. This is the basis for Da Nang to move towards sustainable and comprehensive development.
