On March 27, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Tourism Association, FLC Group and VTV8 to organize the seminar "Gia Lai 2026 - Activating the Sea - Plateau axis".
At the event, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet was introduced as Chairman of FLC Group, after about 4 years of leaving this position.
This is also the first time Mr. Quyet has publicly appeared at an event of this enterprise since returning to the market at the end of January 2026. Previously, according to information announced at the beginning of the year, FLC still mentioned him as the former Chairman and founder of the Group.

At the seminar, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet shared about the link between tourism and aviation, and emphasized the development potential of Gia Lai after the merger.
Resort cities and the aviation industry must be close to each other like lovers to develop. As a project investor, I only think about how to bring customers to my place as quickly as possible and leave as late as possible," Mr. Quyet said.
According to Mr. Quyet, retaining long-term tourists will help increase local spending, thereby bringing benefits to both businesses and the local economy.
To do this, we have to think of many ways to please God," Mr. Quyet added.
Mr. Quyet said that the FLC Quy Nhon complex has been built for more than 10 years. If only serving the needs of swimming, tourists will leave very quickly. Therefore, FLC must develop a complex large enough, integrating many amenities such as entertainment area, zoo, tennis court, golf course and large-scale convention center, with a capacity of 1,500-2,000 people.
Any customers who come here, we can meet them, from playing sports to visiting the FLC complex," Mr. Quyet said.
Chairman of FLC Group also said that in the coming time, the enterprise will start a project in Pleiku with new products, aiming to create differentiation and uniqueness so that tourists when coming to the sea or going to the highlands have their own experiences.
The predecessor of FLC Group was Investment Management and Supervision Consulting Joint Stock Company (SMiC), established by Mr. Trinh Van Quyet in 2001. From 2010, FLC expanded its operations, promoted investment in real estate, resort tourism and in 2019 encroached into the aviation sector, thereby making a mark in the market. Mr. Quyet held the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of FLC until early 2022, before getting into legal trouble and leaving his position.
Before Mr. Quyet reappeared, FLC took over the management of Bamboo Airways airline at the end of September 2025.
