Recently, the working delegation of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Department, had a working session with Da Nang City Police on the implementation of a trial of installing fire alarm transmission equipment at facilities under the management of fire prevention and rescue. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, chaired and worked with the delegation.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police, in the past, the unit has advised the Director of the City Police to issue a plan and guide the implementation of the project "Building a communication system, reporting fire prevention and fighting incidents" of the Ministry of Public Security at facilities under its management. The unit also coordinated with the Global Technology - Telecommunications Corporation (Gtel) to organize training for 139 department-level leaders and commanders and more than 279 commune-level police officers to support the facility in reporting and updating information to the fire prevention and fighting database system.
To date, the unit has coordinated with Gtel to complete the installation of 34 GPS devices on all fire trucks of 11 professional teams; at the same time, equipping connection equipment at the Command Information Center, headquarters of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department and affiliated professional teams.
Regarding the work of declaring facilities to the national database on fire prevention and fighting, from August 22 to now, 4,878/27,757 facilities have implemented it, reaching a progress of 23.6%. To improve efficiency, the unit proposed that Gtel coordinate to organize a conference to disseminate information on the installation of fire alarm communication equipment at facilities under management and increase propaganda, printing documents, billboards, and posters.
Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized that, implementing the direction of the Minister of Public Security, Da Nang is one of 5 localities selected to pilot this project. Through monitoring, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department highly appreciated the initiative of Da Nang City Police and the close coordination with Gtel.
According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Tuan Anh, the fire alarm transmission system is designed to immediately connect the facility, Command Center and fire prevention and fighting and rescue forces. This will be an important breakthrough to help improve real-time command capabilities, shorten reaction times, handle incidents quickly and minimize damage. In addition to installing equipment, the Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department also requested to increase propaganda so that people and businesses clearly understand their responsibilities and rights when participating in the system.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen affirmed that the implementation of the Project is an important step forward in modernizing fire prevention and fighting work, in line with the digital transformation requirements of the People's Public Security force.
Da Nang City Police will direct the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to closely coordinate with Gtel and related units, determined to complete the project on schedule and as required by the Ministry of Public Security, said Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Nguyen.
