On the morning of August 14, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police said that the authorities had just rescued 5 people from the fire at night.
The fire broke out at around 10:00 p.m. on August 13, at a 2-storey house on Thang Long Street, Cam Le Ward. Upon receiving the information, the authorities dispatched 2 fire trucks, 1 rescue vehicle, and mobilized a special elite rescue team to the scene.
Here, the fire fighting force approached and handled the fire on the first floor in many directions such as the main door and the left side door.
A working group was directed to approach the balcony in front of the second floor to guide the 5 victims to escape the house through a ladder and go to a safe location.
The fire fighting force also used hammers and windbreakers to spray water on the fire and open the doors to drain smoke.
At about 10:31 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically extinguished.
