At the ceremony, the leaders of Da Nang City, authorized by the President, posthumously presented the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to 3 mothers, Ms. Le Thi Dan (born in 1901, originally from Dien Quang commune, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam, with two children as martyrs); Ms. Tran Thi Su (born in 1911, originally from Que Long commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam, with husband and one child as martyrs) and Ms. Tran Thi Tuyen (born in 1897, originally from Que Long commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam, with two children as martyrs).
The posthumous award of this title shows the deep gratitude of the Party, State and people to the mothers who sacrificed their blood and bones, making a great contribution to the cause of national liberation.
Also at the ceremony, authorized by the President, the city's leaders awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the City Union of Science and Technology Associations and the City Dong Truc Association. The Second Class Labor Medal was awarded and posthumously awarded to eight individuals, and the Third Class Labor Medal was awarded and posthumously awarded to individuals, recognizing the outstanding contributions of collectives and individuals in the cause of national construction and development.
The President also awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to two individuals and the Third Class Labor Medal to 13 individuals for outstanding meritorious achievements. At the same time, 14 individuals were awarded the glorious Youth Volunteer Medal.
On this occasion, the leaders of Da Nang city, authorized by the Prime Minister, awarded Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister to six groups and Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister to 48 individuals, recognizing their encouraging efforts and achievements in various fields. In particular, the Dedication Award to Da Nang was awarded to 5 individuals.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that up to now, in the city, 3,387 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers have been awarded and posthumously posthumously awarded titles, of which 62 are still alive. Mr. Chinh emphasized that caring for the lives of wounded, sick soldiers, martyrs' families and people with revolutionary contributions is always a major policy of Da Nang.
