On the evening of January 16, the Da Nang City Military Command coordinated with the Da Nang City Youth Union to organize the "Glory of Soldiers" Program and commend officers and soldiers who excellently completed their tasks during their service in 2026.
The program aims to strengthen propaganda on the Law on Military Service; educate and raise citizens' sense of responsibility in performing the duty of protecting the Fatherland for union members and youth; and at the same time mobilize people to strictly comply with the law on military service.
The activity also contributes to arousing the honor, pride, and responsibility of youth in the cause of building the army, consolidating national defense and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; recognizing and praising the efforts of officers and soldiers with outstanding achievements during their service, creating motivation for the next generation to continue striving to complete all tasks well.
Speaking at the program, Colonel Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Political Commissar of Da Nang City Military Command said that in recent years, the Party Committee and the City Military Command have led and deployed local defense and military tasks in the context of being affected by many factors such as the downside of the market mechanism, the sabotage of hostile forces, the implementation of the 2-level local government model and the reorganization of local military agencies.
According to Colonel Nguyen Tan Tuan, in the past time, Da Nang City has been heavily affected by storms, floods, and landslides; the situation of the rear and families of officers and soldiers is still difficult, which has a significant impact on the results of task implementation.
However, under the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Military Region Command, the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee, cadres and soldiers of the City Armed Forces have united, promoted the tradition of Da Nang homeland "Loyalty, resilience", and achieved many outstanding achievements in the "Determined to Win" emulation movement.
