Dak Lak - The military and local authorities are racing against time to overcome the damage after the historic flood in the province.

On November 22, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh directly visited, shared and encouraged families who suffered heavy losses in the recent floods in Tuy An Tay and Dong Xuan communes.

In Tuy An Tay commune, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister surveyed the damage after the floodwaters receded; and visited the military forces that are urgently supporting people in cleaning their houses, collecting mud, and ensuring environmental sanitation.

Next, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister inspected the work of overcoming damage at a number of agencies and schools that were deeply flooded by floodwaters and mud in Dong Xuan commune.

Sharing the great loss and damage caused by natural disasters, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh suggested that the authorities continue to closely coordinate, speed up the progress to overcome the consequences, clean up the environment, and ensure the safety of people's lives and activities.

"The locality urgently supports the reconstruction of houses for collapsed and damaged households, helping people soon stabilize their lives," the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
