According to initial information, at about 4:45 am on January 16, a cement truck with license plate 30M-035.XX, driven by Mr. D.M.V (born in 1983, residing in Ninh Binh), was traveling on Ring Road 3 elevated, in the direction of Mai Dich to Thang Long bridge.
When arriving near the traffic light pole CS1/PVD/32, the tanker truck collided with a tractor-trailer with license plate 98C-348.XX, driven by Mr. H.V.H (born 1984, residing in Bac Ninh).
The strong collision injured Mr. H.V.H, who had to be taken to E Hospital for emergency treatment. Both vehicles were damaged.
Notably, many bags of cement from trailer trucks fell onto the road surface, causing prolonged congestion on Ring Road 3 elevated route.
Immediately after receiving the news, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police sent forces to the scene, organized traffic diversion, supported emergency care for victims and handled the incident.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
