Each golden cow put up for auction has a starting price of 40 million VND. Each auction takes place for 5 minutes.
The entire auction amount of cow No. 01 will be donated to the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses. From cows 02 to 05, the difference compared to the starting price will be donated.
All 5 cows were successfully auctioned for the amount of 253 million VND. The total amount of money spent to support the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in Dong Van district is 93 million VND. At the program, the organizing committee also called for 42 million VND from benefactors to donate to the temporary house removal fund.
Ha Giang yellow cow, also known as Mong cow, has been long-standingly raised in Dong Van district. This breed of cow has high resilience to harsh weather conditions, especially the ability to withstand cold, adapting to the harsh conditions of steep rocky mountains.
