On September 4, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Giao and Phuoc Hoa communes (HCMC) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vam Va stream embellishment project (section from Le Trang bridge to Vam Va bridge belonging to Phu Giao and Phuoc Hoa communes, HCMC).
It is known that the project was approved with a total investment of 686 billion VND. Of which, site clearance costs are 283 billion VND, construction costs are 372 billion VND and 31 billion VND is for consulting and other costs.
The project has its starting point at Le Trang bridge, connected to Doc Lap road and its ending point at Vam Va bridge, connected to DT741 road. The project belongs to group B, class III traffic works, the length of the route is 2.1 km on each side. The road surface is 10.5 m wide, the sidewalk on each side is 5.75 m wide, the total roadbed is 22 m wide. The road surface is built of hot asphalt concrete; the taluy is reinforced with precast concrete slabs. At the same time, railings are arranged on both sides of the stream to ensure safety.
To implement the project, the total recovered land area is about 12.2 hectares. Of which, Phu Giao commune recovered 5.3 hectares, affecting 44 households; Phuoc Hoa commune recovered 6.9 hectares, affecting 51 households. To date, site handover has reached 99%, creating favorable conditions for project construction. The project has a implementation time of 660 days, expected to be completed on June 17, 2028.
