THANH QUỲNH |

Lam Dong decided to invest in a project to build a flood-proof drainage system for some roads in Don Duong district, with a cost of nearly 15 billion VND.

On June 17, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a decision on the investment policy for the project to build a flood-proof drainage system for a number of roads in Don Duong district.

The goal of the project is to reduce flooding during the rainy and stormy season, create favorable conditions for traffic and ensure safety for traffic participants.

The project investor is the Management Board of Investment, Construction and Public Works of Don Duong District.

The project will be implemented on the following main items: Flood prevention drainage system in Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, including 3 sections with a total length of about 2,130m;

Flood-proof drainage system for rural traffic routes 1, 2 and 9 in Quang Lap commune, with a length of about 1,084m.

The total investment of the project is about 14.9 billion VND, capital provided from the provincial budget under the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 and 2026 - 2030.

The project implementation location is in Quang Lap commune and Thanh My town, Don Duong district, with implementation period from 2025 - 2027.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also noted that during the implementation process, the investor needs to focus on designing a drainage system.

Surveying and synchronously calculating the appetite is very important to ensure effective drainage flow.

At the same time, it is necessary to prioritize the use of existing works to save investment costs.
