Khanh Hoa - The transport sector has proposed building a coastal road in Van Phong Economic Zone, more than 23km long, with a capital of more than 5,400 billion VND.

In October 2024, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to consider preparing a Pre-Feasibility Study Report, according to the proposal of the Department of Transport on the coastal road project from Van Tho commune to Van Luong commune, Van Ninh district.

According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Transport, the route will be divided into two phases with a total estimated investment of about 5,400 billion VND from the central government and local budget.

Phase 1 (2024 - 2025) implements investment procedures and phase 2 (2026 - 2030) implements construction investment.

The route is over 23km long, oriented to be formed from routes DT.651C (current status and planning) and DT.651B (planning), connecting from DT.651 (Dam Mon) to the starting point of the coastal road project from Van Luong commune (Van Ninh district) to Ninh Hoa town (approved by the Provincial People's Council in December 2023 with a capital of 2,030 billion VND).

The project will gradually form a coastal road network through Khanh Hoa and complete the investment in the coastal road to the North of the province, creating conditions for socio-economic development of the province in general, developing Van Phong Economic Zone in particular, contributing to ensuring social security, meeting the needs and aspirations of the people, ensuring the strengthening of national defense and security in the area.
