People in Thanh Oai commune agreed to relocate graves in land acquisition areas and hand over land to serve the Hanoi International Sports Urban Area project.

Implementing the policy of accelerating the progress of site clearance work to implement the Hanoi International Sports Urban Area Construction Investment Project, in the past time, the Party Committee and government of Thanh Oai commune have actively coordinated with relevant units to mobilize people to agree to implement site clearance tasks, including relocating graves located within the project area.

On June 11, in many fields in Quang Trung, Chung Chinh, Ma Kieu, Tan Tien, Tan Dan 1 and Tan Dan 2 villages, households proactively carried out the relocation of the graves of relatives to the expanded Chien Chien cemetery area according to the plan.

According to preliminary review and counting results, within the project implementation scope in the above-mentioned villages, there are currently more than 500 graves scattered in the fields. Of which there are about 64 graves buried, including cases arising in 2026.

The relocation of graves is a particularly important task, contributing to ensuring the progress of site clearance and project implementation according to the set plan.

To meet the needs of people to relocate graves, Thanh Oai commune has planned to expand Chien Chien cemetery with a total area of more than 1 hectare, implemented in 2 phases.

Currently, phase 1 with an area of about 5,600m2 has completed site preparation. Construction units are urgently gathering materials and manpower to build about 900 grave pits, ready to serve the needs of reburial and moving graves of households.

The consensus of the people in relocating graves not only contributes to ensuring the rights of each family but also shows the spirit of solidarity and responsibility for the common development of Thanh Oai homeland. Many households have proactively chosen appropriate times to carry out reburial and relocation of relatives' graves, creating favorable conditions for functional agencies to perform their tasks.

In the coming time, the Commune People's Committee will continue to coordinate with investors and construction units to accelerate the construction progress of tomb pits at the expanded Chien Chien cemetery; and at the same time strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and support for households to complete the relocation of graves according to plan.

Thanh Oai Commune People's Committee hopes that households with graves located within the project will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, agree with the local policy, and urgently implement the relocation of graves to new planning locations, contributing to handing over the site on schedule, creating favorable conditions for the Hanoi International Sports Urban Area Construction Investment Project to be implemented soon, opening up a new, modern and sustainable development space for the locality in the future.
