Initial information said that the incident occurred at about 1 pm on the same day in the former Hai Ninh commune area, now belonging to Ngoc Son ward.
At the above time, the area had heavy rain. The two children are biological brothers, the older one born in 2015, the younger one born in 2020, both residing in Thanh Binh neighborhood, just returned from flying kites in the sea area.
After that, the two children stood in the area with the advertising sign and were suddenly electrocuted. The initial cause is believed to be that this area may leak electricity during the rain.
Immediately after discovering the incident, people took the two children to the hospital for emergency treatment. However, both children did not survive.
After completing the procedures, functional agencies handed over the bodies of the two children to the family to organize burial according to local customs" - a representative of Ngoc Son Ward People's Committee informed.
Also according to a representative of Ngoc Son Ward People's Committee, more than 20 days ago, a case occurred in the area where two young children were electrocuted while playing, causing one child to die and one child to be injured.
