According to Lao Dong reporters' findings, the demand for cleaning and sanitizing houses of people in Hanoi is increasing, making house cleaning services popular near Tet.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (an employee doing house cleaning services in Cau Dien ward, Hanoi) said that right from the beginning of December (December of the lunar calendar), the demand for cleaning and sanitation of people's houses has increased sharply. Not only households, many shops, offices, and business establishments in the area are also taking advantage of renting general cleaning services to be ready for Tet.
Near Tet, some days my group receives up to 5-6 house and office cleaning appointments. With the requirement of carefulness, meticulousness, and diligence, this cleaning work is usually done by women, and the transportation of belongings will be done by men. We have to arrange priorities according to the pre-order schedule, many customers who call late have to refuse" - Ms. Nga said.
Sharing about the "selling" job near Tet, Ms. Tran Thi Nguyet (an employee doing house cleaning services in Hanoi) shared that not only is she "out of schedule", but the price of house cleaning services near Tet is also slightly higher than usual days.
According to Ms. Nguyet, if on weekdays, the package house cleaning price ranges from 1.2 - 2 million VND depending on the area and level of stains, then near Tet, the cost may increase by 10 - 20%. For large houses with many items or needing thorough cleaning, the price may be higher.

Talking to Lao Dong reporter, Ms. Le Thi Binh (35 years old, living in Tu Liem ward, Hanoi) informed that both husband and wife are working, and her child is still young, so her family has to hire a house cleaning service this Tet. Her family booked a schedule 2 days in advance, then the service will arrange a schedule to clean up.
After half a day of hiring cleaning and general cleaning of the house such as wiping ceiling, fans, glass doors, floors, toilets, kitchens, the total cost that her family had to pay for the house cleaning service was 2 million VND. Ms. Binh also found it quite reasonable because this service unit cleaned up neatly and carefully.
