According to some tourists, local traffic jams and overload at tourist destinations in the highlands of Tuyen Quang began to occur from February 19 (ie, the 3rd day of Tet) when people from many provinces and cities began their spring travel journey.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang's group (Hanoi City) took about nearly 2 hours to move through the Tham Ma slope area. Cars and motorbikes lined up for kilometers to visit this tourist spot while the road was narrow and there was no parking lot.
The mountain pass road is steep and narrow, only enough for 2 cars to avoid each other, these days the number of tourists flocking in is too large, everyone wants to stop to take photos and check-in, so traffic jams are difficult to avoid. However, spending too much time waiting also makes us tired," Mr. Hoang said.
The fact that a large number of tourists flock to highland tourist destinations has caused overload on the accommodation system. Many groups of tourists, because they did not contact to book rooms and homestays in advance, fell into a "dilemma".
Ms. Cao Thu Tra (Bac Ninh province) said: "Our group of 15 people departed from the 3rd day of Tet, the first night in Ha Giang 1 ward there was still a hotel, but today when we arrived in Dong Van, all rooms were full, because I did not book in advance. Perhaps the whole group will sleep in a car, which is also a memorable experience".
Many tourists go to tourism groups in Tuyen Quang to post to find hotel rooms and homestays, but almost all receive the answer that there are no rooms left.
The accommodation system in Dong Van and Meo Vac areas is almost 100% fully booked, and information kiosks are operating at full capacity to serve guests.
