Determining the 3 main pillars in sustainable development, Mr. Trinh Duc Kien - Deputy Director of Ke Go Company Limited - said: "We aim to export sustainable forest products, focusing on 3 pillars: Ingredients, production process and products".
Regarding raw materials, enterprises converting to wood using sustainable forest management certificates such as FSC, PEFC, minimize negative impacts on nature. In the production process, the enterprise also renovated the factory to take advantage of natural light, reducing electricity consumption.
Regarding the results put on the market, with the main products being tablespoons and wood ear. This is considered a single-use plastic alternative, in line with domestic regulations and global trends in reducing plastic waste. In addition, businesses have also implemented an ESG governance model and promoted digital transformation, when nearly 100% of production and business activities have been digitized.
Mr. Kien affirmed: Enterprises cannot stand outside the green transformation circle. In particular, for exporting enterprises, if they refuse to convert and implement green transformation, enterprises will lose customers and competitive advantages in the market".

Commenting on the advantages of businesses in the green transformation process, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy - CEO of the Faculty of Banking and Finance, Nguyen Trai University - affirmed: The happy point is that Vietnamese businesses today are entering the green transformation journey not with empty hands, but have possessed many strategic advantages.
Mr. Huy pointed out the potential advantages that Vietnamese enterprises are possessing. First, pressure from the international market becomes a driving force to increase the level. Strict regulations of the EU, the US, and Japan on sustainable development, from FSC standards for forest products to the carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM), not only pose challenges, but also open the door for Vietnamese enterprises to step up to a higher value scale in the global supply chain. Second, digital transformation and green transformation are two parallel wheels, promoting each other to take businesses further.
Third, the national policy framework and Vietnam's determination to implement the Net Zero commitment by 2050. Fourth, in the new era, a brand is not only measured by product quality, but also by responsibility to the environment and the community. Enterprises oriented towards sustainable development will build the most valuable intangible assets, which are the trust and long-term support of customers, investors and society.
Looking back on the green transformation journey, Mr. Huy commented: "When large pioneering corporations like Vingroup build a green ecosystem, from electric cars, renewable energy to sustainable real estate, we are witnessing a strategic shift that spreads beyond the scope of the business".
According to Mr. Huy, pioneering enterprises not only raise development standards themselves, but also lead to a series of enterprises in the supply chain having to change to adapt. "The resonance effect is creating positive competitive pressure. Small and medium-sized enterprises that want to survive in the global value chain are also forced to participate in the green roadmap. In addition to environmental benefits, this opens up space for innovation and new markets for thousands of startups and supporting services" - Mr. Huy added.
