On May 17, information from Lao Cai Provincial Museum said that the unit had just received 2 artifacts, which are wild tiger specimens from Bao Ha Temple (Bao Yen District).
Previously, based on information from the people, local authorities and inter-sectors have conducted an inspection and verification of the origin, receipt process, and display of wild animal specimens at Bao Ha Temple.
During the inspection, the authorities determined that the 2 tiger specimens displayed in the glass cabinet (within which there was a lot of donation money released by the people) were made from the parts of real tigers, so they carried out procedures to hand over to the Lao Cai Provincial Museum.
It is known that the two tiger specimens are about 2.7m long, about 1.05m high, and are preserved at the Bao Ha Temple's Great Temple of Worship.
For a long time, local people as well as visitors from all over the world have respectfully called the temple "the tiger".
