On April 24, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Tuan Loi - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh Province) said that the locality is urgently completing procedures to hand over the rest stop at Km651, Dong Son Ward, the section of Bung - Van Ninh Expressway running through the city.
This rest stop has an area of 3.12 hectares, affecting 5 households. According to Mr. Loi, the households have agreed to the land handover policy, and the Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council of Dong Hoi City has submitted a compensation plan with a total cost of more than 418 million VND for appraisal and approval according to regulations.
On the side of Project Management Board 6 (Ministry of Transport), the investor said that they are waiting for the locality to hand over the site to implement the construction of the remaining work of the rest stop.
In addition to the stop in Dong Son, in Quang Binh there is another rest stop at Km594+400 in Quang Chau commune (Quang Trach district) on the Vung Ang - Bung expressway. This point has an expanded area of 7.05 hectares and has now completed site clearance and is ready for construction.
Previously, according to the original design, the two rest stops in Quang Binh had a total area of 9.83 hectares. However, in September 2024, the Ministry of Transport issued a decision to expand the area for rest stops by 10.17 hectares, forcing localities to continue to organize compensation and site clearance for the increased area.
Of which, the rest stop in Quang Chau commune has an expanded area of 7.05 hectares. The rest stop in Dong Son ward (Dong Hoi city) has an area of 3.12 hectares.
The Bung - Van Ninh Expressway is nearly 50km long, passing through Bo Trach District, Dong Hoi City and Quang Ninh District. The project connects with the sections of the Vung Ang - Bung expressway in the North and Van Ninh - Cam Lo in the South. There are 4 interconnecting intersections on the route.
