The North - South, Eastern Expressway (section through Thanh Hoa province) is over 98 km long, with 3 component projects: Mai Son - National Highway 45 (more than 49 km long); National Highway 45 - Nghi Son (more than 43 km long) and Nghi Son - Dien Chau (6.5 km). This expressway has been completed and put into use for a while.
The expressway through Thanh Hoa province has 7 intersections and a rest stop (at Km 329+700 on Mai Son project - National Highway 45), located in Dong Hoa commune, Thanh Hoa city.
According to the plan, for this rest stop, there is a station on the right side of the route with a total area of nearly 40,000 m2, the station on the left side of the route has a total area of over 32,000 m2.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, after the above expressway was put into operation and use (while waiting for the investor to invest in building a rest stop according to the approval), to serve the urgent needs of people traveling on the expressway, the authorities have built a temporary rest stop at this location.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, up to now, the above rest stops are still in a temporary state, the facilities and entrance to the rest stop are somewhat narrow.
At the rest stop, a row of corrugated iron houses has been built, the rest stop yard area is still temporary stone and soil, and many places are still sunken, degraded and shabby, not meeting the needs of vehicles when coming here to stop to rest.
