The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is planned to have 2 rest stops at Km205+092 through Ham Thuan Bac district and at Km144+560 through Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. The area of each station is 10 hectares, including the left and right sides of the route.
Currently, at Km205, there are rest stops on both sides of the route and on the left side of the route, which will operate from January 20 for cars to stop and rest, eat and go to the toilet. The construction part of the rest stop and the operation part of the temporary rest stop are fenced off to ensure construction safety.
Recorded on the afternoon of March 21 at the construction site of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway rest stop at Km205, many dump trucks carrying soil and rocks came to level the ground on the right side of the route. The project operator on the left side of the route has also been relocated to a nearby location for construction.
According to the Department of Construction of Binh Thuan province, up to now, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac district has mobilized people to hand over 100% (9.97ha) of the rest stop at Km 205 to investors for construction. This locality has also submitted to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for appraisal and adjustment of the District-level Land Use Plan for the period (2021 - 2030), with a vision to 2050. The Department of Agriculture and Environment is collecting comments from relevant departments and branches to synthesize reports for the Provincial People's Committee to consider and approve. After the District Land Use Plan is approved, Ham Thuan Bac District People's Committee will carry out land acquisition procedures according to regulations.
As for the rest stop at Km 144+560, Tuy Phong District People's Committee is currently actively working with organizations and households in the project area to hand over land to investors to have construction site.
The Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction) is the investor of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway, hoping that the locality will soon hand over the site to implement the construction.
Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Binh Thuan province, Cao Son Dung, requested the People's Committee of Tuy Phong district to urgently speed up the compensation and site clearance progress of the rest stop at Km 144+560 to ensure the project is implemented according to the required schedule. Tuy Phong District People's Committee urgently speeds up the progress of submitting to competent authorities for appraisal and approval of adjustment of the Land Use Plan for rest stops at Km 144+560 to carry out land acquisition procedures according to regulations. The Department will have a document guiding Tuy Phong District People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems in compensation and site clearance for organizations and individuals.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway is 100.8km long, the entire route passes through Binh Thuan province and was put into operation, exploiting the main route from May 19, 2023, inaugurated on June 18, 2023.
