The expressway project in Binh Duong will run parallel to Suoi Cai for 7km

Binh Duong - The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project will run parallel to the Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project for a section of about 7km.

Binh Duong Province's Electronic Information Portal said that the province is urgently preparing to soon start the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project has a section running parallel to Suoi Cai. Currently, Binh Duong province is also implementing a project to dredge and reinforce Suoi Cai from Tho Ut bridge to Dong Nai river, a length of 19km. This project is assigned to the Project Management Board of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Duong province.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project through Binh Duong province starts from Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, then overlaps with DT 743 and DT 747B. When reaching Khanh Van bridge (Khanh Binh ward, Tan Uyen city), the expressway will turn left and go parallel to Suoi Cai.

According to the reporter, this parallel section is mostly rice fields. Local people are cultivating short-term agricultural crops on the land. This section is considered to be more convenient for site clearance. Currently, units have set up site clearance markers.

According to the Project Management Board of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department of Binh Duong province, the two projects run parallel to each other with a length of nearly 7km. The parallel section starts from Khanh Van bridge then intersects with Suoi Cai at km14+201 (Phu Chanh ward, Tan Uyen city). At the intersection, the center of the expressway intersects with the center of Suoi Cai at an angle of 25 degrees.

Regarding the plan to handle the intersection between the two projects, it has been approved by the People's Committee of Binh Duong province. The total length of the expressway bridge across Suoi Cai is 318m, including 7 structural spans. Of which, 2 pillars are located in the stream bed, 2 pillars on the bank are located within the parallel road surface along the stream bank.

It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project has a total length of about 52.159km. Of which, the section passing through Binh Duong province is nearly 46km long with a total investment of about 17,400 billion VND. The project is designed with a scale of 4 complete lanes, a road surface width of 25.5m, a design speed of 100km/h. The route includes 4 interchanges, 21 bridges on the expressway, 5 direct overpasses and 14 residential tunnels.
