On December 28, according to the Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation surveyed the preparation process for the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project.
Currently, localities such as Tan Uyen city, Bac Tan Uyen district, Phu Giao district and Bau Bang are coordinating with project implementation units. Meetings are being held to measure and determine the area of recovered land and select a land valuation unit.
Currently, localities continue to implement land acquisition, site clearance compensation, and resettlement arrangements for people.
At the survey, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project is a key project that the Government and the Prime Minister are very interested in. The project will intersect with the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway, connecting the Southeast with the Central Highlands. Therefore, the Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee requested that localities pay special attention, closely monitor, and focus on compensation and site clearance work, ensuring resettlement for people, and choosing the most beneficial resettlement plan for people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Loi - Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee requested sectors and localities to focus on speeding up progress, striving to start construction of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway right after the Lunar New Year of At Ty to create new momentum and new motivation in the new year.
It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway is 55km long. The road leading to the expressway on the Ho Chi Minh City side is about 2km long.
Most of this expressway passes through Binh Duong province, nearly 46 km long. The People's Council of Binh Duong province has approved a resolution to invest in the project with a total capital of about 17,400 billion VND under the PPP investment method of BOT contract.
The remaining section passes through Binh Phuoc, Binh Phuoc province has broken ground on the construction of a 7km section with a total investment of VND1,474 billion. The implementation period is 2024-2026.
