On August 8, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Tri confirmed that the US Government asked foreign non -governmental organizations to receive funding from the US government, including the US Department of State and the National Development Agency. USAID (USAID) paused within 90 days (starting from January 25, 2025) to evaluate and review.

In Quang Tri province, the above decision affects important projects, related to the survey and clearance of mines. These projects are sponsored by the US Department of Foreign Affairs through the Norwegian Norwegian Mine Advisory Advisory Organizations (MAG), Norwegian People's Supports (NPA), Peacetres Vietnam (PTVN) and the project to support people with disabilities in Those with Agent Orange/Dioxin - the non -refundable ODA aid from the US International Development Agency (USAID).

The leader of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Quang Tri province affirmed that the unit is actively exchanging close and timely information with related international organizations and partners to advise the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to send a written request to Dai soon soon. The US Embassy in Vietnam, suggested that the US Government and relevant agencies, including the US Department of State, consider continuing to finance the implementation of humanitarian programs and projects in Quang Tri province.
