Lamborghini Huracan - one of the high-performance supercars of the Italian brand is the vehicle identified in the serious traffic accident that occurred in Spain, when player Diogo Jota was driving a car on his way to England to join Liverpool club.
The car is said to be the Huracan EVO Spyder version, a convertible supercar with a typical sporty design and outstanding power. The Lamborghini Huracan is equipped with a 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing up to 640 horsepower on the highest version.
The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 325 km/h. With a starting price of more than 250,000 pounds (nearly 9 billion VND), this is a car model favored by many football stars and celebrities.
According to initial information from the Spanish Royal Police, the accident occurred on route A-52, near the town of Cernadilla (Zamora). The Lamborghini was believed to have suffered a flat tire while overtaking another vehicle.
After losing control, the vehicle overturned and stopped on the median strip, then caught fire fiercely. When rescue forces arrived at the scene, the car was completely burned down. Images taken by Spanish media showed traces of wheels leaving the lane and part of the barrier damaged, while the burnt car lay a few meters away.
At the time of the accident, Jota was en route to Santander Port to catch a ferry to England, instead of flying directly as usual. The decision to change the means of transportation is said to be related to his recovery process after his recent lung surgery.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, including conducting tests related to the use of alcohol or stimulants. In addition, the car rental contract between the player and the service provider is also being reviewed, in order to determine the technical status and maintenance history of the car before the incident.
