Lao Dong has published a series of articles reflecting on the desolation at the High-tech Agricultural Center Project in Dong Bam Ward (Thai Nguyen City).
Accordingly, the project was implemented in 2017 with an estimated capital of more than 100 billion VND, covering an area of 5 hectares. After nearly 7 years, the project has not been effective, many internal items have seriously degraded. Some warehouses have collapsed and cracked.
Not to mention, although it is expected to be a pioneer in the field of high-tech agriculture, the project site is currently rented out as a yard for construction materials and ores.
After the reflection, on August 13, Thai Nguyen City People's Committee issued Notice No. 620 requesting Trung Anh High-Tech Joint Stock Company (investor) to hand over land, assets on land, and dismantle arising assets for the city to manage.
The announcement clearly states that the dismantling and handover will be completed in August 2024.
However, even though it is early September 2024, the High-tech Agricultural Center project has not changed at all compared to the previous report.
According to PV on September 2, the warehouses and factories have not been relocated or handed over as requested. The project site is still gathering a large amount of brick and stone construction materials. Part of the area right at the central gate has become a place to store ore.
Inside the center, in addition to being degraded, the rented place for gathering materials and ores is overgrown with weeds. The gate is always closed, only opened when trucks carrying materials enter and exit.
On the same day, speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang - Vice Chairman of Dong Bam Ward People's Committee said that this project had been revoked. Previously, the locality had sent documents 3 times requesting the investor to dismantle and hand over the land but had not done so.
"Most recently, the City People's Committee continued to issue a document requesting Trung Anh Joint Stock Company to hand over in August 2024. After that, the ward urged and directly went down to inspect but saw no movement; then directly invited the unit to work but they still did not implement.
The locality will report to the competent authorities. If the investor does not comply, they will have to find a solution and handle it according to regulations," the leader added.
The High-tech Agricultural Center project was approved by the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province for investment with an estimated capital of over 100 billion VND.
The project was assigned to Trung Anh High-Tech Joint Stock Company as the investor on a 5-hectare land plot in Dong Bam Ward, Thai Nguyen City. The legal representative is Mr. Chu Quang Trung (born in 1992, Hanoi).
Initially, the total land fund requested by the investor was up to 10 hectares. In the first phase of implementation, the enterprise grew orchids in greenhouses and high-quality melons in net houses.
However, after a short time, the project fell into disrepair, many items were degraded. The interior was rented out for material storage.
