It is forecasted that in the next 24-48 hours, the continental cold high pressure mass will continue to move to the East and gradually weaken. At the upper level, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the North Central region is active. In the southern seas, the Northeast wind maintains an intensity of moderate to strong.
On December 7, the continental cold high pressure is likely to strengthen again after a period of stability and weakness; around December 11-12, it will be strengthened more strongly. Above, the subtropical high pressure with an axis through the Central region will remain stable and tend to operate more strongly on December 8-9.
From December 7-11, the tropical cyclone in the East of the central Philippines may enter the East Sea and is likely to strengthen into a storm.
Due to the impact of these weather patterns, the South continues to be dry, with reduced humidity; some days are cold at night and early morning, and sunny during the day, which can affect health.
Regarding high tides, the peak tide in this period is likely to appear on December 5-6.
At Phu An and Nha Be stations, the water level is forecast to reach 1.70-1.75 m, 0.10-0.15 m higher than alert level III; peak tides occur from 4-6 hours and 17-19 hours.
At Thu Dau Mot station, the water level reached 1.80-1.85 m, 0.20-0.25 m above alert level III.
People need to be vigilant against heavy rain combined with strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8 and high tides, which can cause flooding in low-lying areas, along rivers, affecting traffic and socio-economic activities in the area.
