In order to ensure smooth traffic after the lane is reorganized, the Road Infrastructure Management Center (HCMC Department of Construction) is dismantling the hard median strip on the road connecting the HCMC - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
This hard median strip was previously installed to separate the lane for motorbikes and cars. However, since June 7, motorbikes have been banned from circulating on this access road. Accordingly, the outside lane and capital for motorbikes are converted to cars with 16 seats or less for circulation.

To reorganize the traffic route in accordance with the new plan, the Center is urgently dismantling the median strip, prioritizing the section from Do Xuan Hop Street to An Phu intersection - where there is high traffic density. The Center representative said that workers are working continuously day and night to demolish the concrete part of the road, both constructing and ensuring safety for vehicles in circulation.
It is expected that this week, the dismantling of the entire median strip in the direction of Do Xuan Hop to An Phu intersection will be completed, then continued in the opposite direction.
Previously, the authorities announced an alternative route for motorbikes including: Vo Chi Cong - Nguyen Duy Trinh - Do Xuan Hop - parallel road on the right side of Mai Chi Tho Expressway and vice versa.
The removal of the median strip and reorganization of traffic is expected to help unblock traffic flow and reduce congestion at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.
