National Highway 14G landslide, authorities work hard to fix
Due to the impact of storm No. 10, Da Nang City is experiencing prolonged heavy rain. On National Highway 14G, about 2km west of the Than Tai Mountain Tourist Area (Hoa Vang Commune), a large amount of landslides from the hillside with dry firewood overflowed and covered the road surface, causing traffic congestion.
Due to the heavy rain that has not stopped, rocks and soil continue to flow down, working groups have to be on duty all night to regulate and put up warning signs, ready to close the road when there are bad developments.

Heavy rain also caused many low-lying areas in the inner city of Da Nang and Quang Nam (old) to be deeply flooded, causing local traffic disruption. The rainwater rose rapidly at the spillways, many main roads appeared flooded from 0.5m to 1m, people had to hire a crane to move through the flooded areas.

The authorities of communes and wards have activated the "4 on-site" plan, inspected unsafe houses, called on people to limit going out during heavy rains, not going through spillways, areas along rivers, streams, and streams at risk of flash floods.

Planning to relocate more than 210,000 people
The Da Nang City Civil Defense Command said that the total number of people expected to be evacuated when storm No. 10 is stronger than its level is more than 210,000 people.
The arrangement plan includes about 92,000 people relocated to consolidated households and more than 118,000 people relocated to schools, cultural houses, religious establishments and public works to ensure safety.
Localities closely review each residential area, each disadvantaged household, the elderly, children, and households living in degraded houses to proactively evacuate before strong winds and heavy rain reach the peak.

In Hoa Khanh ward, Chairman of Huynh Anh Vu ward People's Committee said - the locality has coordinated with armed units, mobilized 250 soldiers to support the evacuation of about 4,000 people in high-risk areas such as Me Suot and Nui So streets; established temporary checkpoints at deeply flooded areas, coordinated with drainage forces to pump water for forced pumping, and moved assets to higher ground.
In Thang An commune, 19 civil defense teams have been activated in the villages; plans to relocate nearly 1,400 people in key areas are ready, the number can increase to more than 1,700 people if the storm reaches very strong intensity. In addition, 141 households in deeply flooded areas have also been listed, prepared with means of transportation, and temporary accommodation.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh emphasized: "The storm moves quickly, in the early morning of September 28, it will approach Da Nang. Localities absolutely do not be subjective; proactively let students stay home from school on September 29: continue to call on ships in dangerous areas to take safe shelter; maintain 24/7 duty, promptly support people in flooded areas".
