On the morning of February 23 (ie, the 7th day of the Binh Ngo Tet), on the first day Ho Chi Minh City workers returned to work after the long Tet holiday, the number of vehicles pouring into the streets increased sharply during rush hours. However, contrary to concerns about congestion, traffic on many key routes was quite smooth, helping people start the new year smoothly.

According to records at about 7:30 am, on central HCMC roads such as Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ton Duc Thang, Dinh Tien Hoang... or central roads such as Dien Bien Phu, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Ung Van Khiem... the traffic density has returned to being crowded after a series of Tet holidays.

Although the number of vehicles pouring into the roads has increased significantly compared to the days during Tet, traffic in general still maintains clearness, vehicles move stably, and there is no prolonged traffic jam. On the streets, shops, and services have simultaneously opened to welcome customers. Along with the cool morning weather, people's journey to work has become more pleasant.

The clearness of the streets on the first day of the week made many workers feel surprised and excited. Returning to Ho Chi Minh City late on the 6th day of Tet after returning to Ha Tinh hometown, Ms. Thanh Thao (26 years old, residing in Xuan Hoa ward) was psychologically prepared for the first working day of the year. As an office worker in Saigon ward, Ms. Thao said that the streets are bustling but not as overloaded as before Tet.
Initially, I was sure that today going to work would be jammed and congested. But when driving into the city center, I saw that everything was quite clear, so I was very surprised. Perhaps many people have not returned to the city to work yet. Experiencing a smooth first day of the year going to work, cool weather makes me very happy, hoping that the whole year's work will be as smooth as ever," Ms. Thao shared.
