The land strip of more than 22,000 m2 located along Luong Dinh Cua street, the section from Nguyen Hoang street to An Phu intersection, is being focused on removing by Ho Chi Minh City to solve the long-standing bottleneck.
This is an important land area for completing the final section of the Luong Dinh Cua route, and also serving the construction of connection items of the An Phu intersection.
According to the new plan being implemented, Ho Chi Minh City is expected to spend about 1,865 billion VND to recover a total area of 22,012 m2 of land on Luong Dinh Cua street, Binh Trung ward. In the total recovered area, there are about 8,361.8 m2 of residential land, 9,882.3 m2 of agricultural land and 3,767.9 m2 of traffic and canal land.
There are 67 affected cases, including 66 households, individuals and 1 organization.
The city aims to complete compensation and hand over the entire clean site in September 2026. This decision aims to definitively resolve the long-standing obstacles that have stalled two major infrastructure projects, which are the expansion of Luong Dinh Cua road and the construction of An Phu intersection.

According to actual records, the uncleared site section is more than 500 m long, located along Luong Dinh Cua street, the section from Nguyen Hoang street to An Phu intersection.
This road is currently quite narrow but is the main axis connecting the city center with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, Cat Lai port and the eastern area, leading to frequent congestion during peak hours. The slow handover of land has directly affected the overall progress of the entire An Phu intersection project.

To remove this bottleneck, the completion of land recovery for households is considered a decisive factor. According to the investor, the N1. 2 access branch connecting from Luong Dinh Cua street to the expressway can be completed after about 5 months from receiving enough clean ground.
While waiting, the contractor is still focusing on construction at items without site clearance at An Phu intersection to soon put them into operation in parts, helping to reduce traffic pressure for the eastern gateway area.

An Phu intersection is an important traffic project at the eastern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting many major roads with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. However, the project progress has been adjusted many times. According to the current plan, the entire project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2027.
