On the morning of August 21, a leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that a fire that occurred late at night at a scrap factory in Ea Kar district did not cause any human damage.
Accordingly, at around 9:35 p.m. on August 20, Center 114 received information from people about a fire at the scrap purchasing facility of Mr. Vu Dinh Hung (residing in Ea Dar commune, Ea Kar district).
Immediately afterward, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police notified Ea Kar District Police to coordinate the mobilization of nearly 80 officers, soldiers (2 forces) and vehicles. to the scene.
When the fire department arrived, the fire was raging, with a large amount of heat, smoke, and toxic gases emitted because the fire area contained many bottles and scrap plastic.
Firefighting forces both prevented the fire from spreading and helped people move machinery and assets outside. By 10:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically controlled. By 2:10 a.m. on August 21, the fire was completely extinguished.
The authorities coordinated with the people to move and remove property estimated to be worth about 1 billion VND from the fire.
The fire did not cause any loss of life, property damage was estimated at about 70 million VND.
Initial assessment of the cause of the fire was due to a malfunction in the electrical equipment system.
